Our Story
In 2010, we bought our first 13 acres next to family in West Addison, VT. We are located in the Champlain Valley nestled between mountain ranges. Snake Mountain is to our east, and Lake Champlain and the NY Adirondacks to our west.
In 2015, West Addison Acres started taking shape when we purchased a few yearlings, and the following year we purchased our Registered Angus Bull. The following spring we had our first two Angus babies. We knew that we wanted to expand our herd, so in 2017 we purchased another 13 acres adjacent to our land, and a few more Angus. In 2021, we sold our bull and took a year off from growing our herd. In 2023, we purchased a new Registered Angus Bull from Maple Acres in NY, and our herd continues to expand.
As a very small beef operation, we also have jobs off the farm to help support our farm.
Tim Godard - Farmer/Godard Trucking - Tim is self-employed and drives truck for many local farmers. He hauls haylage, corn silage, hay bales, and sawdust. When he’s not driving truck, he’s bringing the Angus another wagon of feed.
Amy Godard - Farmer/Registered Nurse - Amy works at two of the local hospitals. When she’s not working, she is checking water tubs or mending fences.
